IHS and PRAK Sign Institutional Grant Agreement

On 13 May 2024, the Integrated Health Services (IHS) project and the Patients’ Rights Association of Kosovo (PRAK) signed an institutional grant aimed at transforming PRAK into a sustainable and more inclusive organization.

The grant will provide PRAK with the necessary resources to implement organizational restructuring, expand capacities, and further increase its public profile and networking. Such transformation aims to support PRAK on its mission of patient-centered care in Kosovo’s health system.

“Today marks a key moment for PRAK as we initiate a transformational journey towards sustainability and greater impact,” said Besim Kodra, Program Manager of PRAK. “With the support from IHS, we are set to enhance our structure and programs, ensuring that our commitment to advocate for patient rights remains strong.”

IHS has committed to supporting PRAK through clear and measurable steps designed to increase operational efficiency and transparency. This includes fostering partnerships with other organizations to leverage resources and expertise, diversify patient voices, and stregnthen advocacy efforts.

This agreement signifies a strategic move towards PRAK’s further strengthening with its focus remaining on improving health care outcomes and advocating for the rights and needs of patients across the country,” said Dr. Ilir Mecini, Deputy Team Leader of IHS.
