Meeting with the Newly Elected Board of the Patient Rights Association of Kosovo
On July 5, 2024, the newly established board of the Patient Rights Association of Kosovo (PRAK) met with the Team Leader of the Integrated Health Services (IHS) project. The meeting focused on PRAK’s strategic initiatives as part of their transformation process, which began after signing an institutional grant agreement with IHS in May 2024.
Significant achievements so far include the election of the new Board, which enhances patient representation and diversity, the appointment of a new Executive Director, and the plans underway for the development of strengthened internal governance procedures and enhanced external communication.
During the meeting, IHS Team Leader Lia Tavadze and PRAK Board Chairman Ruzhdi Rexha emphasized that the institutional grant agreement will provide PRAK with the necessary resources and support to achieve their transformational goals. This support aims to create a more robust patient advocacy landscape in Kosovo, fostering a more inclusive and effective healthcare system that benefits both patients and healthcare providers.
