Joining Patient Solidarity Day 2023
Today, 08 December 2023, is Patient Solidarity Day, marked worldwide with the theme “Expert patients – the indispensable voice”. IHS project supports the development of a health care system that integrates quality and accessibility of services with education, awareness, and empowerment of citizens, focusing on patients with non-communicable diseases. The goal is to empower individuals to actively participate in managing their conditions along with healthcare providers and other community members.
Another crucial dimension of our work is raising awareness among health sector institutions to integrate patient perspectives in the planning, monitoring, and assessment of health services provided in the country at all levels of health care.
This contributes to a healthier and better-informed community, by increasing early detection and encouraging the individuals’ self-confidence to manage their conditions.
