Discussing New Digital Tool for Diabetes and Hypertension Management
IHS Project organized a session to introduce and evaluate the key features of a new digital tool being developed, which aims to help manage diabetes and hypertension. The session brought together healthcare representatives from primary and secondary care in Peja and Gjakova, along with officials from the Ministry of Health and the Kosovo Hospital University and Clinical Service, and the company responsible for developing the digital tool.
Participants had the opportunity to explore the tool’s functionalities, including data management for doctors, administrators, and nurses, as well as monitoring patient information on blood sugar and hypertension. The session also facilitated discussions on data management from multiple perspectives within healthcare settings, emphasizing the tool’s potential to streamline and enhance chronic disease management.
Participants shared feedback, insights, and experiences to support the tool’s refinement and future implementation, underscoring the IHS Project’s commitment to advancing digital solutions in Kosovo’s healthcare system.
