Further Work on Important Protocols and Procedures
Between 29 September to 3 October 2025, the Integrated Health Services (IHS) Project hosted a mission by Dr. Mihai Horga, International Expert, to advance the development, monitoring, and implementation of Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in Kosovo.
Throughout the week, Dr. Horga worked closely with the Ministry of Health, Kosovo Hospital University Clinicl Services, the CPG Secretariat, and IHS partners to review the Secretariat’s Terms of Reference, analyse SOP monitoring mechanisms, and support the design of an online CPG database. A key highlight was a workshop with the CPG/SOP Working Group and meetings with Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Arsim Berisha and Mr. Niman Bardhi on improving coordination, resources, and sustainability.
The mission concluded with concrete recommendations to strengthen governance, monitoring, and training programs, further reinforcing the IHS Project’s commitment to evidence-based and quality-driven healthcare in Kosovo.
