Community Voices for Stronger NCD Response in Prizren
As part of its ongoing commitment to people-centered care, on 27 May 2025, the Integrated Health Services (IHS) project organized a workshop in Prizren, bringing together civil society organizations (CSOs) and local institutions to advance collective action on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).
Themed “What Do Patients Say?” the event created space for dialogue between grassroots advocates around the lived realities of patients navigating chronic diseases. Participants shared information from the ground, mapped existing challenges, and co-designed actions that lead to patient voices being heard more in future health planning.
The workshop underscored the role of CSOs in bridging communities and institutions, acting as trusted channels through which patient needs and rights are expressed. Improvements in NCD care depend on inclusive, informed, and responsive policy processes that reflect the diversity of community experience, said participants.
