
Comprehensive Training on Hypertension for Health Professionals
Healthcare professionals from the General Hospitals of Peja and Gjakova participated in a training session delivered through the telemedicine centre focused on hypertension management. This one-day theoretical module, part of a comprehensive training program, aims to enhance healthcare providers’ capabilities in diagnosing and managing hypertension, a significant global health challenge.
The training session covered crucial topics such as the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and classification of hypertension, learned about clinical approaches to hypertension management, and responding to hypertensive emergencies. The module addressed personalized treatment strategies and tailored care for the elderly and pregnant women.
Delivered through a telemedicine centre, the training connected lecturers with healthcare professionals at their respective regional centres, sharing the latest knowledge and practical skills with the aim of improving patient outcomes.
