Civil Society Representatives in Gjilan Talk About #ActOnNCDs

On April 30, 2025, the Integrated Health Services (IHS) project held a dynamic workshop in Gjilan, bringing together civil society organizations, patient representatives, and institutional actors to talk about collaboration in the fight against noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).

Responding to the question “What do patients say?” participants shared experiences, identified key healthcare challenges, and co-created practical local actions to ensure patients play a central role in shaping services, especially for NCDs. The workshop emphasized the critical role of local CSOs as a voice for patients.

The event is part of activities organized by IHS across Kosovo, aiming to catalyze collaboration among organizations, particularly those working with vulnerable and underserved groups. This initiative recognizes the importance of linking lived experiences and advocacy efforts of patients with policymaking related to NCDs.
