Working Group on Diabetes and Hypertension Self-Management Action Plan Kicks Off
On March 21, the Integrated Health Services (IHS) hosted the first Ministry of Health-led Working Group meeting tasked with drafting the 2025–2026 Action Plan for the Self-Management of Patients with Diabetes and Hypertension.
Chaired by Niman Bardhi from the Ministry of Health, the meeting brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Kosovo Family Medicine Association, representatives of the General Hospitals and Main Family Medicine Centres of Peja and Gjakova, the Diabetes Patients’ Association in Peja, Patient Rights Association of Kosovo, and IHS and AQH projects.
A key part of the meeting was the presentation from the Global CT team about the self-management mobile app currently in development. The team shared updates on the app’s features and the stage of implementation.
The Working Group will continue its efforts in April, with follow-up meetings planned to shape the final version of the action plan.
