Triage System Training to Improve Patient Care at the General Hospital of Peja

On 17–18 March 2026, the Integrated Health Services (IHS) Project supported a two-day training on the triage system at the General Hospital of Peja, involving doctors and nurses from different departments to strengthen first response capacities in patient care.

The training focused on enhancing knowledge of healthcare professionals about triage as a structured clinical process, that allows improved patient flow upon admission to the hospital, minimizing delays in care for chronic patients suffering NCDs. The training combined theoretical input with interactive discussions.

The initiative will continue with practical, hands-on training sessions scheduled for coming weeks, allowing participants to apply and consolidate gained skills in real clinical settings.
