IHS Highlights the Gender Dimension of Non-Communicable Diseases

The Integrated Health Services (IHS) Project is highlighting the gender dimensions of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) from multiple perspectives, including health policies, prevention, care, and lived experience.

Through this effort, IHS seeks to bring greater attention to the social and gender-related factors that influence how NCDs are experienced, prevented, and managed. Promoting gender-responsive approaches remains essential to ensuring more equitable health outcomes.

The initiative begins with two human stories that illustrate the everyday realities behind NCDs, offering insight into their challenges, underscoring the importance of more inclusive health services.

The two stories can be accessed through the links below.
