Strategic Data Management for Decision-Making in Healthcare
In June 2025, over 50 healthcare professionals from the General Hospitals of Peja and Gjakova participated in an accredited one-day training on “Data Management and the Importance of Data in Decision-Making”.
Led by expert trainer Liridon Gashi, the training focused on strengthening managerial and analytical capacities within healthcare institutions. Participants explored how data can enhance service quality, support institutional management, and drive evidence-based decisions, particularly in the healthcare sector.
Participants included hospital managers, heads of wards and nurses, patient education staff, quality coordinators, data analysts, administrative staff, and medical specialists. Representatives from the Kosovo Chamber of Nurses were also in attendance.
The interactive program combined theoretical presentations, case study analysis, and practical exercises. Key topics included data governance, data quality and privacy, health reporting standards, and the ethical use of data in healthcare. A hands-on session on using data tools and resources concluded the day.
The training is officially accredited by the Kosovo Chamber of Nurses and awards 6 credit points to participants.
