Strengthening Fundraising and Strategic Capacities of Patient Organizations

Representatives of patient organizations and patient councils, from across Kosovo gathered on 10–11 December for a two-day Fundraising and Strategic Development Workshop.

The sessions focused on topics such as working towards long-term sustainability of patient organizations considering the current funding landscape, organizational identity, impact-based storytelling, and strategic fundraising models. Participants also initiated work on designing 12-month funding strategies and discussed ways to better respond to community needs while advancing patient rights.

By combining practical tools with peer exchange, the workshop aimed to support patient entities in articulating their value, diversifying funding sources, and reinforcing their role as essential actors within Kosovo’s health ecosystem.

The activity is a continuation of IHS support to Patient Rights Association of Kosovo (PRAK), as the participating patient entities are members of the PRAK-led network and benefit from joint organizational capacity-building efforts.
