Concrete Steps to Strengthen Healthcare Management
The Chief Executive Officer of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) Mr. Ronald Lavater, recently visited Kosovo, marking an important step towards strengthening international cooperation in healthcare management and hospital development.
During the visit, Mr. Lavater held a joint meeting with the General Secretary of the Ministry of Health (MOH) Dr. Naim Bardiqi and the Executive Director of Kosovo Hospital and University Clinical Services (SHSKUK) Mr. Elvir Azizi , focusing on future collaboration in hospital management and related training programs and international networking opportunities.
The meetings brought together representatives from of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Kosovo, also the members of the SHSKUK Board of Directors, and key MOH officials.
At both meetings, national representatives emphasized the importance of enhancing managerial capacities through international experience sharing and specialized training programs. They also expressed gratitude for IHS’s continuous support in improving the quality of public healthcare services in the Kosovo hospital sector.
This visit is a significant step towards building new strategic partnerships aimed at improving NCDs service delivery across all levels of the country’s health sector, offering new opportunities for professional growth in healthcare management.
