Training on Clinical Protocols and Guidelines Adaptation Concluded

In the last week of March 2026, a three-day training on the adaptation of clinical guidelines and protocols (CPGs) successfully concluded in Prishtina. This training by the Ministry of Health of Kosovo aimed at strengthening evidence-based healthcare practices, emphasizing the critical role these processes play in improving patient outcomes.

The training brought together healthcare professionals and experts to build a shared understanding of the development, adaptation, and implementation of clinical guidelines, progressing from key definitions and frameworks to practical application.

Throughout the three days, participants engaged in sessions on evidence-based medicine, literature review, drafting and adapting guidelines, and implementation tools, complemented by group work and hands-on exercises. Activities focused on local implementation, identifying barriers, clinical auditing, and outlining next steps, followed by participant evaluations and the distribution of certificates.

The training marks an important step toward improving the quality, consistency, and safety of healthcare services in Kosovo, with long-term impact expected in the standardization of clinical practice.
