Continuing with Efforts to Improving Quality of Care at Hospital Level
The General Hospitals of Gjakova and Peja are stepping up efforts to improve the quality of care for patients with non-communicable diseases, through strategic collaboration with the Integrated Health Services (IHS) Project, funded by the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC).
In both hospitals, leadership teams met with representatives of the IHS Project to identify key priorities and discuss ways to strengthen the delivery of integrated services. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to enhance patient outcomes and align hospital services with European standards.
A highlight of the visits was a focused working session led by international technical expert Dr. Manfred Zahorka, who engaged hospital leadership and key staff in developing concrete quality improvement projects. These initiatives will serve as a foundation for ongoing support provided by the IHS Project.
