Adult Learning Principles Workshop for Health Sector Professionals

This week, a two-day workshop on Adult Learning Principles brought together health sector professionals from around Kosovo with a focus on creating impactful learning environments for adult learners. Participants explored key topics, starting with the unique characteristics and motivations that drive adult learning, followed by strategies for fostering positive group dynamics and managing conflicts effectively.

The workshop also emphasized essential communication skills, equipping attendees to connect meaningfully with their audiences, and introduced diverse training methods to accommodate different learning styles. Through role-playing, case studies, and interactive exercises, participants applied these principles in real-world scenarios, enhancing their confidence and effectiveness as trainers.

“Such methodology as the trainer used has never been applied with us before. We will seek to apply this knowledge into practice, and we believe it will positively impact the health system in our country,” said Ismet Jashari, HIS Coordinator at the General Hospital of Gjilan.

This workshop, co-organized by the Integrated Health Services and Accessible Quality Healthcare projects is part of capacity expansion activities for the local partners in both the primary and secondary health care levels.
