Minister of Health Reviews Proposed Priorities for IHS Phase II

Kosovo’s Minister of Health, Dr Arben Vitia, met with Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation representative and the Integrated Health Services (IHS) team on 28 October 2026 to review the outcomes of partner consultations and discuss priorities for the project’s second phase.

Discussions centred on consolidating results in care for people with noncommunicable diseases and strengthening the capacity of Kosovo’s institutions to sustain achievements.

The proposed two-year phase (2027 – 2028) places particular emphasis on quality hospital services, coordination across levels of care, and institutional responsibility for continuing achievements developed with project support.
