Swiss TPH Kosovo joins the Global Week for Action on NCDs
Today marks the start of the Global Week for Action on Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs), taking place from 31 August to 4 September 2026.
Organised by the NCD Alliance, this year’s campaign calls for political commitments on NCDs to translate into concrete action, investment, accountability and measurable improvements in people’s lives.
As a member of the NCD Alliance, Swiss TPH Kosovo is joining the global mobilisation together with Lisa Mehmeti from Tip1omël, bringing attention to the importance of NCD prevention, treatment and care, and to the voices and experiences of people living with NCDs.
With NCDs remaining the leading cause of death in Kosovo and worldwide, progress requires leadership at every level, from institutions and health systems to communities and people with lived experience.
