Training on Clinical Protocols and Guidelines Adaptation Concluded

In the last week of March 2026, the three-day training on the adaptation of clinical guidelines and protocols was successfully concluded in Prishtina. This training, organized by the Ministry of Health of Kosovo, aimed to strengthen evidence-based healthcare practices, highlighting the essential role these processes play in improving outcomes for patients.

The training brought together healthcare professionals and experts to build a shared understanding of the development, adaptation and implementation of clinical guidelines, moving from basic concepts and frameworks to their practical application.

Over the course of three days, participants engaged in sessions on evidence-based medicine, literature review, the development and adaptation of guidelines, as well as implementation tools, complemented by group work and practical exercises. The activities focused on local-level implementation, identification of barriers, clinical audit and definition of next steps, followed by participant assessment and the distribution of certificates.

This training marks an important step toward improving the quality, sustainability and safety of healthcare services in Kosovo, and is expected to have a long-term impact on the standardization of clinical practice.
