IHS Supported Pristina.Innovate.Healthcare to Advance Patient-Centred Solutions

During an intensive 48-hour event held from 3 to 5 April 2026, the “Pristina.Innovate.Healthcare” hackathon brought together 12 teams to develop innovative solutions around health-related challenges. The two challenges presented by the IHS project reflected our aim to strengthen integrated and people-centred health services, as well as to empower patients to better manage their health.

From the perspective of the IHS project, this event aimed to go beyond technology as an end in itself and focus on solutions that are meaningful for patients facing everyday health challenges. Linda Baleta, Senior Advocacy and Communication Expert in the IHS project, emphasized during her opening remarks: “Health is not only a system, but also an experience.”

The hackathon concluded with presentations and evaluations by a jury of experts, assessing innovative concepts that combined technology, empathy, and practical impact for the health system in Kosovo. A total of 12 competing teams took part across five challenges. For each challenge presented by the IHS project, two different teams were awarded.
